Shipyard, where the Jean Bart is built. This first class sailing ship of the Louis XIV war fleet is a faithful model of the ships of the 17th century that sailed the oceans. This reconstruction is possible thanks to the colbert album (1670) and the discovery of part of Admiral Touville's fleet off the île Tatichou (Cotentin). The figures are impressive: 1400 tons of cargo space, 84 guns, 150 crew members. The project was started in 2003 and the planned completion date is 2020.

Volunteer-driven reconstruction project started in 2002 of one of Louis XIV grand Navy ships. Jean Bart is the name given to the replica of a 1670, 84-gun, ship-of-the-line, that is being constructed by the Association Tourville at Gravelines, Dunkirk, to the plans of the seventeenth century ship builder Colbert.
