The Wurmberg cable car is originally in 1963, today 2.8 km long aerial cable car that leads from Braunlage to the Wurmberg (971.2 m above sea level) in the Harz Mountains in Lower Saxony's Goslar district. [1]The gondola lift (small cabin lift) is the longest aerial cableway in northern Germany. In contrast to many other cable cars, it also has a middle station that can be passed through without changing trains.
The cable car runs all year round.

If the "Big Roller" still exists, take a tour and drive down from the Wurmberg with the roller.

Something for young and old. I like the summit better than the Brocken.

Nice view near the valley station, as you walk right below the cable car.

The Wurmberg cable car was put into operation in 1963. With a length of 2.8 km, the gondola is the longest cable car in Northern Germany. It leads from the core town of Braunlage valley station, 565.5 m above sea level, on to the middle station toboggan house, at about 730 m above sea level (entry and exit is possible here), and then on to the mountain station at 965 m above sea level. It is open all year round and serves as a climbing aid for winter sports enthusiasts and hikers, for example.

Very good starting point for a lot of activities. The cable car gives you the opportunity to hike the Wurmberg and then go down or vice versa. You can get on and off at the middle station. But you can also rent a scooter and jet down the mountain.
