Already in French territory but a few steps from the Italian border and from the municipality of Claviere, that beautiful lake very popular in summer because it can be reached by easy dirt road takes its nickname (of the 7 colors) from the iridescent shades of its waters ranging from light green deep blue

The Lac Gignoux / Lago dei sette colori is located high up in a barren landscape, beautifully in the sun, today turquoise green and glittering, clearly too cold to swim, but wonderful to look at.
