one of the 136 F-16s that the BAF had purchased, FA-01 made its appearance in March 1979 and FA-136 in September 1991. FA-16 is currently on a pedestal at the entrance of Kleine-Brogel airbase and is dedicated to the former chief of the airbase and also the first Belgian F 16 pilot ever. The aircraft was delivered to the BAF in April 1980 and was withdrawn from service in May 1994. Finally, in 2005, the reusable instruments were dismantled in Weelde for sale or reuse.
