Tips
Since the road from Witznau to Waldshut is currently (July 2021) closed (sewer rehabilitation) until around September / October 2021 (according to a local resident) I had to take the "steep but tarred road". Both are true: steep and tarred (especially steep) .. 😉.

Apparently the road will also be closed from May to June 2022 (possibly only until June 16). Couldn't figure it out exactly.
