Bike Touring Highlight (Segment)
The new section of the Chemnitz cycle path now leads north to the Markersdorf museum train station. The section opened in December 2016 represents an enormous enrichment of the route from a landscape point of view. It also offers the opportunity to admire interesting engineering services such as bridges and a tunnel through the Schusterstein massif from the time of railway construction.

The Chemnitz can be really proud of their bike path, completely paved, a tunnel about 30m long through the rock and at least one big bridge. What more do you want?

Beautiful bike path along the river, now finally on Chemnitzer corridor passable.
This year, from the city limits, it will continue down the river (this is the photo with the construction site fence).

Really great! Here you can switch off super, since you hardly have to make an effort! One of the best bike paths in Chemnitz! 😁👍

Unfortunately, there is hardly a bench to relax in comfort.
But the route is generally a tip for geocachers!

On this great bike path there are chic-looking enthusiasts who take care of our physical well-being on weekends and public holidays when the weather is fine. I tested it on the last weekend of June '17. My thanks go to the team.

Very quiet, only interrupted by a few road crossings, is the way to easy cruising but also sporty driving.

Even if I'm afraid that a lot more people will stop here now and disturb my rest at the brook, but I can only recommend this brook because it's relaxed, not too loud, but you can still hear it rippling. If you sit here with friends and chill, talk and maybe have a little picnic, then the best in the world!

Very nice route only very busy. Massively pedestrian. So always careful and consideration.
