Inversnaid Bunkhouse & Restaurant

Inversnaid Bunkhouse is a unique hostel and restaurant situated along the beautiful Arklet Water river that flows between Lock Katrine and Loch Lomond.

It's the perfect place to rest on a tough walk, or fuel up before setting off. It's quirky, characterful and serves such a delicious range of traditional Scottish foods.

The bunkhouse is located on a hill above Inversnaid. If you are very tired, you can be picked up in the city by the river at the Inversnaid Hotel. Alternatively, there is a fine - quite wild - path up the mountain. This is of course the better alternative for hikers ;-).

There are various multi-bed rooms in the bunkhouse. Sanitary facilities and a drying room. On the upper floor is a restaurant with good food and delicious ales. All in all very recommendable.

The path from Loch Lomond to the bunk house is steep and swampy in parts. Once at the top of the former church, there is a very friendly, warm welcome, a beautiful and relaxed ambience. The campsite is level. The food is amazing and amazingly cheap. Great!
