It is forbidden to enter railway and track systems and can be fined up to 5,000 euros. If there is a specific risk to railway operations, such an intervention can also be punished as a criminal offense with a prison sentence of up to ten years. The path doesn't go any further here, but dirt trails are evidence of the opposite (can also be seen in the satellite view of Google Maps). The trains run frequently, but slowly (as far as I've seen) on the two-track line. The track is clearly visible in both directions.
