The Melterser chapel has St. Christopher the Patron, one of the 14 Holy Helpers. The martyr from today's Turkey (+ ca. 250 AD), whose memorial day (July 24th) is near the village festival at the end of July, is revered as the advocate of travellers. From the chapel exit you can see the A7. Well known is the legend of the "giant" Christopher, who carried the baby Jesus across a river on his shoulders. Christopher means "Christ bearer".
