Hochheide Hut

The Hochheidehütte can also be reached by car, it is 100m from the parking lot. There is something for every taste on the small menu, I had a pea stew that tasted almost like my grandma made it. From the terrace you have a wonderful view.

It's worth stopping by the hut. There is hearty food from the kitchen and freshly tapped Veltins on tap as well as grandma's country cake. The meat and the sausage are from our own production.

PS: The landlord and his staff are great! Even when the kitchen was already closed, a little something was prepared for us: a Strammer Max (bread, ham, cheese, 3 fried eggs, salad)

After this mighty meal we couldn't go any further and so the host offered us his party tent for the night. Just great!! And the breakfast in the morning was awesome. :-) We will definitely hike there again!
