Restricted byway. Pretty good surface throughout, although it is a bit rutted on the steep sections. Good alternative route back from Chew valley to avoid the Dundry road climbs

A great test of legs and lungs heading uphill, never attempted the descent. The trail seems to be wider and perhaps a bit less lumpy on the steepest section than previous years. Still expect some fly tipping which isn't great to witness but not a problem. Always feels great to tip over the top and see the city lights.

This was impossible for me on 32c tyres with panniers, massive rocks and holes. Probs cool on a mountain bike but not an easy climb!
