The Naturschutzbund Deutschland has awarded the city of Bad Dürrheim the title NATURWALD-GEMEINDE for its near-natural forest management. This implies forest management according to certain criteria
ahead. One criterion of this is the renunciation of use of 5% of the community forest area.
