As a start for the round trip I recommend Gut Kerschlach. The Hirschberg Alm is used as asylum accommodation and strictly guarded. The staff is extremely friendly and led one to the tunnel under the B2, but I find start and end in Gut Kerschlach attractive, also because of the excellent hospitality.
