The path has nothing to do with the Romans. But on the stones of the pathway you can see the polished cart tracks. They were used to brake the carts on the mountain.

Lt. The explanation board is only called that because it was built after the ancient granite roads of the Romans. The path made it possible to avoid the swamp paths by the stream and the wheel grooves that were made gave lateral support and were used to brake and secure.
