Brocken Summit

The Brocken summit should be on the program for every cyclist. After a fairly moderate climb from Schiercke, which only gets a little steeper towards the end, the summit plateau awaits with a great view. When the weather is good, the last two kilometers are regularly a bit fuller, as many hikers have to share the ramp with the cyclists. Carefulness and prudence are required, especially when you are leaving.

After hard work and a climb of up to 12% you are rewarded with a wonderful view over the Harz mountains!

The delicious pea soup with Bockwurst (right at the back of the hut) and the view are the rewards for the effort.
As we drove up on a beautiful Saturday, the last few kilometers up were an additional torture 😉. It's a shame that a certain number of pedestrians cannot follow the perfectly understandable signs and have to form a slalom course for the cyclists 🤬.
