The first written mention Wöhlsdorf (Auma-Weidatal) of Wöhlsdorf took place in 1389.
At Wöhlsdorf took place on October 10, 1806 a battle with 9,000 Prussian against 14,000 French soldiers instead. It won the French army. In this battle, the commander of the vanguard found the Prussian Prince Louis Ferdinand of Prussia death.Culture and sights:
In Wöhlsdorf there is a monument to Prince Louis Ferdinand of Prussia. It was built in 1821-1823 after a design by Karl Friedrich Schinkel. In the years 1981 to 1984 took place removal and then rebuilding of the monument. The stele-like structure of sandstone has a triangular pediment.
