Bike Touring Highlight
Great scenery, easy to drive, almost no traffic - great!
The Weser cycle path starts at the confluence of Werra and Fulda near Hann. Münden and follows the course of the river to its mouth in the North Sea near Bremerhaven. From there it continues to Cuxhaven and meets there on the Elbe Cycle Route. The length of the bike path exceeds the 452 river kilometers by about 50 kilometers because it can not always follow the course of the river exactly. In many parts cycle paths are available on both sides of the river, so that there are almost always alternative sections besides the official main route.

Cycling along the Weser has several advantages: No noteworthy heights to overcome. Little traffic and few intersections. If the whole is still garnished by beautiful landscapes and absolutely worth seeing town like the upper reaches of the Weser, it is ideal for cyclists. Nice also that you have many entry points and destinations thanks to train connections.
