Wonderful mountain tour with fantastic views of Lake Hinterstein, the Skiwelt Brixental with Hartkaiser, Brandstadl and Hohe Salve, as well as the Inn Valley and the Kaiser Mountains. Exceeding to the chopping heads and the Sonneck possible - but then get up early, long tour ;-)

Hintersteiner See - a quiet natural jewel
A magical mountain lake, 56 hectares in size and up to 36 meters deep, lies at 883 m above sea level above Scheffau in the middle of the Wilder Kaiser nature reserve. A hike around the Hintersteiner See gives a deep look.
The path rises slightly on the south bank and offers wonderful views of the turquoise-blue water of the crystal-clear mountain lake. The north shore of the lake is accessible to everyone thanks to a driveway (large paid parking lot).
There is also a bathing beach here, whose attraction lies in its naturalness. To be the most beautiful and cleanest natural swimming lake in Tyrol is enough for the Hintersteiner See in Scheffau.
You can circle the lake in a relatively easy way. North side also suitable for strollers, asphalted. Personally, I find the south side much nicer and more varied. Above all, great photos can be taken here, since the Kaiser Mountains are reflected in the water. Also great for a winter hike.
There is also a beautiful climb from the north bank to the Walleralm. Nice and sunny location.
