In Wrixum, Oldsum and Borgsum, vacationers can marvel at three Dutch windmills. This construction method replaced the post windmills in the 16th century, which were not well suited for strong and changing winds. Dutch windmills were the most modern version of classic windmills. Today the Föhrer windmills are popular excursion destinations for adults and children alike. Most of the mills on Föhr can only be viewed from the outside. The Oldsumer Mühle is now used as a residential building, the second Wyker Mühle is privately owned. The Wrixumer Mill, on the other hand, now serves as a restaurant. Here guests can not only marvel at the architecture of the mill, but also experience hearty North Frisian home cooking.

The windmill in Borgsum is unfortunately privately owned and therefore not accessible to visitors. This windmill type is called Erdhollander.

The most striking and mostly photographed motif in Borgsum. Well restored and lovely to look at.
