Rantzauer Lake

Always nice as a destination for bike or hiking tours. From the cafe with a lake view to the nice kiosk and many quiet places for your own picnic, there is something for everyone.

Really a nice location and always worth a trip.

The Rantzauer See was created between 1934 and 1938. It is an artificially created reservoir in the Krückau.
The idyllic castle island with artist's studio, shed (ceramic studio), museum and the beautiful, fully functional water mill invite you to visit.
The castle prison with the “jail meal” should not be missed either.
The best way to relax around the castle island is in the natural open-air pool, in the indoor wave pool, mini golf or boating. Furthermore, electric bikes can be rented from the boat rental to explore the area actively by cycling.
The rhododendron park is a real feast for the eyes. For nature lovers, spacious hiking, biking and riding trails round off the recreational offer.
