The Lutterbach watermill near Hermannsburg is a cultural-historical testament to the ancient use of water power. In the 18th century, a sawmill was originally built here, powered by a specially constructed mill race. Later, a grain mill and a tannery were added, allowing various businesses to benefit from the power of the water. While the sawmill survived for a long time, the grain mill and an outbuilding fell victim to a fire in 1995.
