The two rivers Örtze and Wietze have shaped the town. People probably settled here more than 1000 years ago, sheltered by the waters. The Wietze flows into the Örtze here, so it is obvious that the place name comes from the term "münden". The confluence, the Örtzeeck, is a wonderful place. The benches, the hiker's hut and the numerous information boards make this spot a worthwhile destination. Paddling friends can get into the boat at the historic water mill and navigate the natural Örtze to Winsen (Aller). The Heidesee, an artificial body of water in the middle of Müden, leads a 2.4 km long circular hiking trail. Numerous benches and a picnic area also invite you to linger here.

An idyllic village with lots of charm. Beautiful houses with front gardens, the old Laurentius church. There is also a "milk bank" with old milk cans to admire.

For me, Müden is one of the most beautiful heathland villages. Many old courtyards and individual buildings have been preserved here. With the old road surface, you can understand a little bit what it used to look like here.
