Today's complex was built after 1590 by Hans Siegmund von Erlbeck. In 1632 the castle was destroyed and rebuilt in 1796. Schloss Etterzhausen is located at the entrance to the town, just a few meters from the B8 federal highway. The building is privately owned and therefore cannot be visited from the inside.
