If you like a little more thrill and have the right equipment with you, then you can climb the Hölderstein on the via ferrata - the only one on the WesterwaldSteig. The route is around 300 meters long. Along the way, cramps, stirrups, pegs, ladders and a bridge will help you to overcome the 80 meter difference in altitude.
