Did you know why this spot is called “Bubenbad”? In earlier centuries there was a pool on Albrecht-Goes-Platz where boys bathed. Girls didn't because they were afraid of the salamanders that were in the pool. In 1895 a boy drowned while bathing. The pond was then filled in, a meadow was created on it and a fountain with a salamander was set up.
