The river pathway from Kew Bridge to Richmond is unmetalled and can be rough and muddy in wet weather. Also, strictly speaking, cycling is not permitted, although everybody does it. So take it easy, watch your speed, and always give way to pedestrians, no matter how belligerent they are.

Teddington Lock is a complex of three locks and a weir on the River Thames in England between Ham and Teddington in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. It was first built in 1810.

The limit of legal powers of the Port of London Authority and also the Thames' usual tidal limit. The lock is the lowest full-tide lock and second lowest of all-tide locks on the Thames.
