The historic boundary stone marks the former state border between the Duchy of Braunschweig and the Kingdom of Hanover. An Ehmer family found the stone on their property and handed it over to the Home Care Association in 2014. In this way, it could be placed near its original location. A wonderful place to stay in the sun! Background:
After Napoleon was finally defeated at Waterloo, Europe's borders were rearranged at the Vienna Congress in 1814/15. The Kingdom of Hanover came into being with its border. In 1866 it rose in the Kingdom of Prussia. The Duchy of Braunschweig ended with the First World War in 1918.

The historic boundary stone marks the former state border between the Kingdom of Hanover (today the Helmstedt district) and the Duchy of Brunswick (today the city of Wolfsburg). It has serial number 14 and is a ground monument. Today it is not in its original location. A family from Ehm found the stone on their property and handed it over to the local heritage association in 2014.A small stone in our history.A bank invites you to linger. Particularly popular on sunny days...
