Angelo Bozzi Hut

The Bozzi refuge is an alpine refuge located in the Ortles-Cevedale group in the Stelvio Park in the upper Val Camonica. It is found along the path n. 2 "alta via camuna", in the section that connects Ponte di Legno and Passo Gavia.

A nice little refugio. 26 beds, some 3-storey. But a super nice service. Durschen incl. Hot water + toilet is newly renovated. The food really delicious. Unfortunately they use too much plastic. But the attached museum is really worth seeing.

I ate at the refuge and was able to recharge there. Funnily enough, I asked a hiker for directions, who sent me toward Dimaro via the Passo de Contrabandierie, saying, "Quite steep but possible." I cursed the guy at least 1,000 times on the climb. 27 kg bike, 15 kg bag. It wasn't fun, more like a near-death experience. The only way to get there was with the bike lying on the bag.
