  • The wood mother stands free in a meadow, west of Gerolfing in the nature reserve Gerolfinger Eichenwald. A few years ago, the age of the oak was determined to be 400 years using annual ring drilling. The cylindrical trunk is completely closed, the bark is missing on one side of a flash gutter.
