The wooden chapel with the outline of a drop is reminiscent of an ark, an ark stranded on the mountainside, community ship. She was planned by the well-known Grisons architect Peter Zumthor, in 1988 she replaced the medieval chapel destroyed in an avalanche in 1984. Coming from Trun through the meadows, her silhouette merges with the surrounding farms, until she gradually emerges from the backdrop. A wonderful place.

Snowshoeing

The chapel was designed by star architect Zumthor and was designed in the shape of a leaf. The old chapel stands at the village entrance and reminds of the big avalanche outlet 1984. The old chapel went back to the 9th century!

Hiking

An experience a little in the loneliness of the mountains! When an avalanche destroyed the old baroque chapel in 1984, the Disentis monastery, as the owner, decided to build a new chapel. The winner of an architecture competition was Peter Zumthor, who from 1985 to 1989 built the new chapel on a different location in the village.
