The scenic Niederdielfen watermill with a mill pond and ditch is a prime example of mill technology at the beginning of the 18th century. Orally handed down is the year 1729.
The mill pond, the water of which drove the mill wheel in earlier times, is still fed by an upper ditch to which water flows from the Weißbach from a weir in Flammersbach approx. 400 meters away. In 1910, the overshot mill wheel seemed to have become defective and a turbine was installed that could operate at a maximum water volume of 300 l / sec. And delivered an energy output of 12 hp to a usable gradient of around 4m. This is no longer operational today and therefore a large electric motor provides the drive for the still intact and completely preserved grinder.
