Hiking
Over the course of several centuries, miners from the Upper Harz dug innumerable moats. These had the task of directing the water from the numerous mountain rivers into the specially created reservoirs. From there, the water was directed to the sweeping and articulated wheels of the mines in order to drive a wide variety of machines.
