There are three lakes, which are located above the historic part of town Pezinok called Grinava, also called Myslenice, and after which they are named. They are located on the eastern edge of the Homoľské Carpathians, a geomorphological part of the Pezinské Carpathians. They form a small area, which borders the forest belt of the Little Carpathians, and which man turned into vineyards in such a way that he left many places in its original state. These are natural ponds managed by the Slovak Fishermen's Association. Not far from the area there is also the Grinavská vyhlídka hill (250 m above sea level).
