Allerhop Park was founded in the 1930s by Carl Busch and was designed with ponds, brick seating areas (grottos), a tea house and magnificent plants.
In 2013, the Mengebostel village association took over the maintenance and renovation of the park.
It has now become a popular excursion destination and local recreation area for both residents of the region and tourists.
