The Weinhausköpfchen is located on Rheinstrasse, the old Roman road that leads from Trier via the Vicus Wareswald to Strasbourg. The best way to get there is via the hamlet of Lassen (near Urexweiler). It was certified as a "Weinhansen Köpfchen" in 1774. And the legend of the "Weinhannes", a "godless landlord", a Weinpanscher, also leads to this time:“Heaven and earth were so angry with this wine forger that after his death he was banished to the melaphyr height that bears his name. There he now had to walk up and down the old Roman road at night and to call the neighboring countryside from three gentlemen, namely Tholey (Lorraine), St. Wendel (Kurtrier) and Ottweiler (Nassau-Saarbrücken): 'Three shoppings of wine and one shovel of water is also a measure.
