Since the last ice age, the water of Gornervispe washes the narrow gorge further and further. The river is surrounded by steep walls of 220 million years old greenish serpentinite. This natural spectacle can be crossed on a secured path on foot. From mid-September, the special light conditions between 15 and 16 o'clock make the water turquoise blue.

Opening Hours: End of April to mid-October, 9.15am to 5.45pm
Admission: adults 4.50 CHF, children (up to 16) 2.50 CHF

    Now costs 5 / 2.50 Sfr.
After 5.45 pm, the cash register is no longer occupied. You then enter the gorge at your own risk. That is not too big though.

Relatively short way through the gorge. Admission price for the short pleasure is quite high, but who is surprised in Zermatt. ;)
