Tips

Anyone who walks through this wildly romantic gorge with its steeply rising rock walls, huge boulders, the foaming water swirls and the rock gate will once again fall in love with nature.

The path is comfortably developed and easy to walk with children. Open daily from late April to early November, depending on the weather.

Admission: adults 3.50 euros, children from 6 years 2 euros

  • How the Starzlach made its way through the rock can be experienced live by climbing the many small bridges, bridges and ladders. What nature has to offer has already been described enough. As a special highlight but also the canyoning tours, either as a participant or spectator. Very spectacular and also as a thrill. Just the test of courage, where they slide down the waterfall. It's worth it! :)

  • Great gorge! Whether iced or bubbling in the summer, great gorge for everyone. When it rains, it is slippery afterwards!

  • In summer connoisseurs use the rock as a slide. However, if you are not familiar, you should not imitate it. Caution, risk of death!

  • Beautiful little gorge, can be walked in about 40 minutes each way. At the bottom, very courageous can use a natural stone chute in the streambed.

  • The way through the gorge is not recommended even for people with mild walking difficulties. Many roots, after rain smooth, wet rock, sometimes very steep. You should be reasonably sure-footed.

  • The waterfalls and whirlpools in the Starzlachklamm testify to the power of the water and the million-year-old history. Stairs, bridges and iron walkways are an experience for children and adults alike, which remains unforgettable even in bad weather.

  • Very nice, less strenuous gorge walk. The Starzlachklamm is quite short, but very worth seeing. When it rains, or when it has rained 1-2 days before, the way back for people who are not sure-footed can be a bit problematic, because sometimes quite steep and slippery.

  • The hike through the Starzlachklamm is an experience. Narrow, sometimes low paths next to the thundering water and experiencing the elemental force of the elements make this tour a real highlight.

  • A geological peculiarity in the limestone cliffs of the gorge are the many fossilized nummulites. These are single-cell organisms with a coin-shaped limestone shell that sank into the sea mud when the Alps were formed around 30 million years ago.
