The former Liebfrauenkirche has been owned by the Wernigerode Cultural Foundation since 2018 and was ceremoniously deconsecrated on February 3, 2019. From 2020 to 2022 it was converted into the Liebfrauen Concert Hall and is now a permanent venue for the Wernigerode Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra. The parish continues to own the valuable Sauer organ in the Liebfrauen Concert Hall. This was also extensively renovated and reconstructed to its original condition as part of the renovation of the church.
