The first wooden chapel in honor of Mary was built in the middle of the 17th century. This paid homage to the miraculous image of Mary, who miraculously survived a great fire. In 1710 the stone chapel was built. It was renovated and inaugurated in 2009. Next to the original chapel is the impressive basilica.
