This is a brutal climb, with steep gradients in places. However, it is beautiful, challenging and extremely rewarding. The scenery is special. The road is also very quiet.

There is spring water located along the route, notably towards Karaagaç.

The climb might take you 2-4 hours - it took me 3 and a bit with a fully loaded touring bike.
As others have said, this route is brutal, there are many steep sections with an unrelenting gradient throughout.
But it's worth it to go from beautiful Oludeniz to magical Kas. And this is the best cycle route.
There are many places you'll want to stop and take pictures, the kind of photos to make your friends jealous.
The downhill is brilliant too - windy and exciting.
If you finish later in the day you'll get some shade on your climb.
