I recommend a side trip from Timmdorf to Hof Radlandsichten. There is a country house with coffee shop from Thursday to Sunday in the season - always from 14:00 h (do to sa) and Sundays even from 12:00 clock. There is delicious cake and ice cream and the offspring can play outside, watch the animals or you can visit the high ropes course next door. It's definitely worth it. Coming from the jetty, it is the second way left towards Radlandsichten. From Malente, turn off to the right. Please take care in the curve, it is a bit confusing there. But the detour is worthwhile in any case.
