War memorial on the road between Meerssen and Geulhem. During World War II it was an underground repair shop that was built by the Germans. Aircraft engines and bombers were repaired here. You can't go into the quarry and there is still a lot of weeds and ivy on the outside, but that too has its charm.

The war relic consists of a still recognizable, partly underground complex that the Germans built for the repair of aircraft engines. The complex is partly built underground in a number of larger and smaller marl quarries at the foot of and surrounded by slope forests along the Geul.

Sensational path along the Geul, always something to marvel at from bygone times.
