Remains of the former rail link between the Phoenix furnace and the Hympendahl landfill area, which has been in use since the 1860s, across the valley. This viaduct was completed in 1899.

The remains of the old slag track - the viaduct - can be found between the old Phoenix-West blast furnace site and the Phoenixsee in Dortmund. To be more precise, only the two abutments, because the bridge has long been history.

Once the capacities of the Schallacker heap were no longer sufficient and a new dumping ground was found in the Hympendahl heap, it once served as a transport and connection route for the slag railway for the daily removal of slag from the blast furnaces in the Phoenix West area and the Hermannshütte.
Because the bridge collapsed in the 1950s, only the two abutments remain today.
