Kölpinsees comes from Slavic and means something like Swan Lake. It is about ten centimeters below sea level and is separated from the Baltic Sea by about 200 meters from the dune and protective dike. A circular route leads around the lake.

It has changed a lot in Kölpinsee. We come back for many years at irregular intervals every now and then to the site of the first Baltic Sea holiday on the campsite. I will never forget the sight of the lake at dawn ...
But not only the place itself has changed. Even the way to the beach is completely different - and the sea was much further out at that time ...
