The wild feeding in Klausbachtal takes place over the winter months.
As soon as the winter breaks in, the game comes on its own from the higher regions into the 45-hectare piece of land in the Berchtesgaden National Park. The whole thing is not organized to offer guests another attraction. The red deer is a draft animal and would actually migrate in the winter in the alluvial forest. Since this is not possible in the Berchtesgadener Land, there is the wild feeding. As soon as spring arrives, the 25 gates are opened and the deer retreats back to the great outdoors.Source: bgland24.de
