Fish stairs and hiking aids on the Iller work
The construction of large bypass streams, the so-called hiking aids or fish steps, on the Iller has paid off: a team from the fisheries advisory service in the Swabian district near Kempten was able to demonstrate for the first time that fish can use the hiking aids set up at barrages to climb the many kilometers of the Iller can actually cope.
