The Deusenberg (de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deusenberg) is located directly on Emscherweg (de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emscher-Weg) between the districts Huckarde and Deusen. The former landfill offers about 55 meters above the countryside lying a wonderful view of the surrounding neighborhoods. An approximately 130-meter-long staircase offers pedestrians next to a ramp that is also used by cyclists the climb to the mountain, whose highest point is about 120 meters above sea level. The EDG Mountain Bike Arena, built on the mountain by the local waste management company, is a popular destination with varying degrees of difficulty for MTB riders. Here you can meet model flyers as well as walkers, who have the opportunity to visit the directly adjacent coking plant Hansa (museum). The Deusenberg is also used by paragliders.
There are no opening hours, the area is freely accessible.

The Deusenberg offers a wonderful panoramic view.
You can see the city center, up to Florian and Signal-Iduna-Park. But the other directions to Lünen, Waltrop, .. are also worth seeing.
You can take a nice walk up on the Deusenberg.
those who like it sporty can climb the 278 steps, a strenuous alternative :-)
From Deusenberg you can then continue on the Emscher-Weg, towards the city center or towards Mengende. In addition, you can quickly reach the canal via Deusen.
