The brick factory was built in 1870 and was taken over in 1884 by Martin Steingasser.
In the years 1889 and 1904, the brickworks was expanded by two ring kilns, in which up to 5 million bricks (Steingasser bricks) were produced annually according to Eduard Hoffmann's patent.
The sales opportunities were significantly improved by the connection to the railway network.
Around 1920, 200 people worked here, in 1975 only 22.
The company closed in 1975.
