These 10 hectares have experienced a lot: anti-aircraft ammunition depot of the Wehrmacht, later ammunition depot of the US armed forces. Thanks to the efforts and dedication of the Eppelsheim citizens, a retreat for endangered species was created. The paved path looks a bit strange, but nature will (almost) get everything back over time.
