The "Sündentempel" is located in a forest above Hellenthal. It was built in 1992 and owes its name to the circumstance that allegedly one or two "sins" were allegedly committed there.

Today, the lovingly furnished hut is maintained by the local hiking club and serves primarily its purpose as a rest, shelter and information for hikers.

The Temple of the Savior can be reached through various paths, all of which have their own charm. Highly recommended is the narrow path (for prams not suitable, see also komoot.de/highlight/125674), which begins at the forest cemetery and after a short climb further through the forest, where in some places a really worthwhile view of Hellenthal offers. Sturdy footwear is recommended, however, because especially in the wet, stones and roots could be smooth.
